Disclosures

The purpose of this website is to share wisdom and ideas with scholars on a variety of professional topics.

To offset the costs associated with maintaining the website, I participate in a few affiliate marketing programs, including the Amazon Associates, LLC program, and the iTunes Affiliate program.

Amazon Affiliate links

This website participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. Amazon offers a small commission on products sold through their affiliate links. Each of your purchases via my Amazon affiliate links supports this website at  no additional cost to you.

If a blogger links to an Amazon product (with a special code for affiliates embedded in the link), and a reader clicks on that link and purchases any item on Amazon within 24 hours of clicking on the link, the blogger gets a small percentage of the sale. Amazon links are not “pay per click,” so if you click on the link and do not make any purchases, I am not compensated. If you click on the link and purchase something else from Amazon in the 24 hours that follow, however, I will get a commission on that sale. Any time you see a link to amazon.com on this website, you should assume it is an affiliate link and I will earn a small commission as outlined above.

Note, though, that I take your readership seriously and only want to recommend products and services that I believe can be helpful to you. As of this time, I do not link to any products or services that I have not purchased myself, with my own money.

iTunes Affiliate

This website also participates in the iTunes Affiliate program, which allows me to earn when you click on a link to Apple Music and iTunes content like music, apps, books and more. If you click on a link and do not make a purchase within the next 24 hours, I will not be compensated. If you click on a link and purchase any iTunes content within the next 24 hours, however, I will be paid a small amount. iTunes links are not “pay per click,” so if you click on the link and do not make any purchases, I am not compensated. If you click on the link and purchase something else from iTunes in the 24 hours that follow, however, I will get a commission on that sale. Any time you see a link to an app, music, or other iTunes content on this website, you should assume it is an affiliate link and I will earn a small commission as outlined above.

Note, though, that I take your readership seriously and only want to recommend products and services that I believe can be helpful to you. As of this time, I do not link to any apps, books, or music that I have not purchased myself, with my own money.

Underwritten Posts and Sponsored Content

Sometimes, companies approach bloggers to write about products they think will be good fits for the blog’s audience. These companies offer to pay bloggers to write such posts and/or offer the product to the blogger for free. In other words, bloggers receive a product or service in exchange for their review post.

I have not written any underwritten or sponsored posts, but if I do in the future, you can expect that all opinions and thoughts are 100% my own. I take your readership seriously, and will only recommend products that I truly believe will benefit you.
