Ask Me a Question

Conference & In-Person Meet-Ups
I truly enjoy meeting with colleagues, hearing about the projects they’re passionate about and the ways they’re bringing those conversations to their graduate and undergraduate students. I regularly attend conferences in French and Francophone Studies and African studies such as the SFPS, the MLA, the 20th- and 21st-Century French and Francophone International Colloquium, the ALA, the ASA and other themed conferences. Drop me a line to grab coffee! Or, better yet, let me know when you’d like to go for a run :-).
Mentoring Scholars Working on a First Book
I have developed a curriculum to help first-time book authors get a handle on their book, distill its main claims, see how the structure serves the book’s argument, and, above all craft an intentional project that peer reviewers will find convincing and compelling.
If you are an author of a first book, check out my dissertation-to-book boot camp.
